UNITECH: Generous Support

With the valuable generous support of Unitech, West Cork Rapid Response is now able to bring the laboratory into the community, and analyse a patients blood in an emergency!   This is a significant step in keeping with our philosophy of striving to provide the same standard of Critical Care in rural West Cork as would be expected in the hospital.   Accurate and rapid blood analysis is pivotal in the ongoing Intensive Care managment of a variety of critically unwell patients; particularly those with metabolic disturbances, from sepsis or diabetes, or those with severe breathing difficulties.  This little machine will undoubtedly be saving lives in West Cork…
